Ive got an MVP on order now, should be here in a few days.

My question is this:
If i want to simultaneouly record one channel and playback another, do i need to have 2 PVR cards? Im pretty sure the answer is yes.

Also, possibly this will only be for UK users, can i plug a freeview box into the PVR card in the MVP server to get all the free-to-air channels i currently get? That way i can watch/record 30 channels instead of the standard 5..

Thanks all

You can playback shows you recording earlier, and be simultaneously recording, with one card. To be recording one channel while watching another, yes - you'd need another PVR card.

Yes, you can plug a free view box into a PVR card to enable you to recording the other channels. GB-PVR can automatically change channels on this set top box using an IR Blaster (USB-UIRT or Actisys IR200L).

I haven't managed to watch a recording in progess when I click on the recording file nothing happens this occurs on the pvr and the mvp.
Any suggests for a solution?

I meant to say "recorded earlier" as in "recorded earlier - but its now finished recording".
