Hi,
I use DVICo's Fusion5 Lite card to record HD over QAM directly into mpg format. Then I use gbpvr to view the files from the Video Library.
Originally I found that the Zulu video decoder (the one DVICo uses for playback) provided the best viewing of these files. But at some point when I tried to play back an HDTV mpg file, it wouldn't play, only a black screen would show up (no audio either). I can't exit gbpvr with the remote at that point, so I use Windows Task Manager to close it - oddly though, Task Manager shows gbpvr as "Running" rather than "Not Responding" as I would have expected.
The other odd thing is that I can use the Zulu decoder to play back standard-def files with no problem, although it is really not the best decoder for this. But still no luck with HD
Anybody have any ideas on why I can't use the Zulu decoders for HD playback? I can still use other decoders for HD playback but the playback is not nearly as good.
Thanks,
Derek
