My setup is:
nVidia 6200
nVidia PureVideo Decoder
Standard navigator
GBPVR 9.8.13
32" SD CRT TV using S_Video connection
Using 720x480 resolution

What I am noticing, is that with the standard navigator, when playing a DVD and using the navigator, that clicking the nav buttons sometimes triggers the wrong action. For example, clicking the chapter/skip button will cause the subtitle to change, and clicking the forward button will cause a skip. What I've noticed is that if I click in the extreme left of the button, then the correct action will occur; clicking in the middle or right area of a button will trigger the action of the button to the right of the one that's been clicked.

Also, in the config file, I've applied overscan corrections of X1=21,X2=21,Y1=14,Y2=14. Would these overscann corrections have any affect on the navigator's button click detection?

Thanks,
Don

hmm, you might be right. Can you try it with these set back to zero and let me know?

Here is what I've found.

The default installation config has these values:
ZoomX=1.05
ZoomXOffset=0
ZoomY=1.03
ZoomYOffset=0
OverscanX1,X2,Y1,Y2=0

With these settings, the Default Navigator does not seem to work correctly detecting mouse clicks. I'm finding that it's necessary to click in the leftmost 25% of the button area to get the desired action.

The only way that the navigator seems to detect clicks correctly, is with the zoom values both set to 1.0, and all of the overscan values set to 0. So, my customized config with the zoom values set to 1.0, but with overscan values applied, is also not behaving correctly, with the same symptoms. It appears that if any of the zoom or overscan values are non-zero (or non-1.0 for zoom), then the mouse clicks are not detected with the proper coordinates.

Is the Navigator on a different video layer than the video playback? If so, perhaps the scalings/offsets must be applied to the navigator layer in the same way as the video layer.

Let me know if I can be of any further help.

Thanks,
Don
