MVP Hangs at Loading Application

Just bought a new setup today, WinTV-PVR-150 and MVP 1000. Downloaded the latest GBPVR and installed it. Seems to work fine on the PC, but after starting the GB MVP service and then plugging in the MVP, it hangs at "Loading Application".

If I start up the MVP with its own software, then turn it off and start the GB-PVR MediaMVP Server, I get the messages "Failed to Locate GUI Server" and "Failed to Locate Streaming Server" alternating back and forth.

Sorry if you've already addressed this, but the forum doesn't have a search feature, and I didn't see it after scanning some of the topics.

You should try to get it working with the original Hauppauge software first. You have firewall software like ZoneAlarm getting in the way.

Nope, no firewall, and it works just fine with Hauppauge's software.

Do you have DHCP service on your network? This is the one thing the original software can provice that GBPVR does not.

Yep. DHCP running and MVP has pulled an IP

try this, disable dhcp on your router, and give router static ip, them run hauppauge software once the loading app is located, stop hauappauge software then run gbpvr, this all depends on if you are using a router and able to give it static ip. also which version of hauappage are you running???

Already tried this. That's what I meant in the original problem description when I get "Failed to Load GUI Server." I boot the MVP with original software, then turn it off and activate GB-PVR MediaMVP Service. "Failed to Load GUI Server" and "Failed to Load Streaming Server" alternate back and forth.

That right there is your problem

Gbpvr only will work with 2.0 & greater mvp software. Download newest from http://www.hauppage.com (check my spelling) and install it, run it, then try gbpvr. I bet this will fix your problem
