I know... But take it as a compliment. It's become a critical part of my technology landscape... and as such, it can be un-nerving having its destiny directed by one person. Smile

I'm also aware of the power of a single, consistent vision. :o

How about a paid source license?

Even if it was to disappear tomorrow (its not!), then it had a pretty decent life, so being in the hands of one person hasnt been a problem in my mind.

Its been around for three years nows, which is longer than a lot of software. In that time some companies (like Meedio for example) have entered the market, collected peoples monies, hung around for a couple of years then left their users high and dry. Being in the hands of more of a substantial organisation didnt really help them. GB-PVR users have had a relatively stress free existence over this same period - good communication, good support, regular updates etc.

Nope, no chance.

I understand.

That's a fair assessment.

Well, let me try another angle... I'm a software developer by day. I've had a passing interest in developing extensions for GB-PVR. The available information regarding plugin development seems to have improved noticably in the last year or so (my timeline may be off)... But here are a couple of questions:

What is your roadmap for GB-PVR?

What's your policy around supporting the APIs that are exposed by GB-PVR?

What if GB-PVR doesn't expose a piece of functionality that I'd like to be able to access?

What if something isn't documented that I need to understand?

Is there any kind of assistance that you could use from the community? Documentation?
