Just installed the program, go to watch TV and get an error message

I'm guessing you've selected the wrong device type. With recent Huappauge drivers you need to select the 'Hauppauge PVR2 USB2' device instead of 'Hauppauge PVR USB2'. If you tick the 'only show devices detected in this machine' checkbox, then it should find the right device name based on the drivers you have installed.

well, i tried selecting the pvr2 usb2 one, and it says that the device drivers are not found, but i know they are loaded to this computer because i have recorded tv on a different program (wintv)....gbpvr doesnt detect any tuners when i click only show devices detected on the machine

Ah, I think you've got the older "Hauppauge WinTV USB2", not the "Hauppauge WinTV PVR USB2". Unfortunately this device lacks the required hardware MPEG2 encoder and is not compatible with GB-PVR.

Sorry, that was a lot of hassle just to get to that outcome. Must be disappointing I know...
