I'm getting an error when trying to start gbpvr configuration after installing the new version. I tried completely uninstalling the plugin and then reinstalling but that didn't work. I have attached a screenshot and the config.exe log. If you get a chance, can you take a look and see what might be causing this? By the way, the log file is up to the point when the error dialog pops up. Thanks again.

Edit: This only appears to be happening in the newest builds with N64/GBA support.

It is bombing out after it thinks you have ePSXe installed. so first question do you? have you changed anything to do with ePSXe recently?

If you can give me your gamezone section of your config.xml file that will assist me with diagnosing the issue

Thanks

So ive been sitting here thinking about how cool it would be if i could get gamezone to work, but i cant. i know its got to be something really simple that im messing up.

So i go to the GBPVR plugins, hit gamezone and then settings. I set the znes and n64 program paths, check their little boxes, and then the problems start. I cannot get a directory to work. I have my games in two folders. N64 games are in D:\N64 Games and SNES games are in D:\SNES. i hit rom path, enter them under the correct system, with names N64 and SNES respectively, extension and path as the file path. It oks and everything configures and then when i go to start a game i click on an emulator and it says "illegal characters in path." i cannot for the life of me figure it out and im feeling pretty stupid. any help would be great.

If you can restart GBPVR and just go straight to trying a game in gamezone then when it fails zip up the gbpvr.exe.log file and post it for me I will take a look.
Alternatively, if you are happy with checking log files yourself then what I would be looking at is the Launched entry that will show the path and arguaments you are sending to the emulator.

The logfile can be found in program files\devnz\gbpvr\logs\ or if you are not using the latest versions then it is located at program files\devnz\gbpvr\

EDIT: I just re-read your mail and do you hit the ADD button when you are inputting the ROM Path details? i.e. if you go back in after finishing completely with the GBPVR configuration application is all the values you entered previously still there?

Cheers

ok its the rompath bit your getting wrong.

In the log file you sent it has the line
GameZone: Line being analysed = D:\SNES;D:\SNES

I will show you what I see when I do a Snes game:
GameZone: Line being analysed = smc;X:\ROMS\SNES

so this means you must be typing the path into the extensions textbox instead of giving the type of extention the roms have

All the Snes Roms in my directory are <Game Title>.smc you may not be seeing the extensions if you have windows explorer set to hide them.

Hope that helps

Thats most likely because there is none of that extension type in your directory. a simple way to test is to use the extnetion type of *
The asterisk is used in windows as a wildcard meaning in this case if it ends in anything then display it.

See how that goes.
