This is my entire data dump The old LNBs are called "legacy" lnbs. You can tell because they don't say "DP or DishPro" on them. A legacy is a good one and very universal for the US. I use LOF1= 11250 mhz, 0 =switch and O =LOF 2. (you will see these in config) The dual looks at one satellite and has two outputs for two satellite boxes or cards. Do you have a Dish 500 dish? If you do, then you can add the second LNB, otherwise, I think the Dish 300 only can have one. One is plenty to have for now to get you up and running.

Good luck and have fun. Let us know if you get everything up and running.Wink

Hey soccerdad... quick question, I also am just starting to play around with DVB cards. I have a Twinhan 1027, got it working with MT, ALTDVB, and DVB Dream. But I for the life of my can't get it setup in GB-PVR. In config, under capture source, the card shows up. If I hit edit, the name is Twinhan, then DBA Plugin, then Zap2it, usa&canada, no channel changer required. Down below it lists the channels I should have. But they aren't checked. I have tried to add them, but can't. I have clicked on map digital channels to EPG channels, thats when my system locks up and stops responding. I am using a dish 500, my PC is a Dual core Asus motherboard, amd dual core 3800, 2 gig of memory. I'm using GB-PVR right now with a Media-MVP to play my movies and music. Any thoughts on this one??? Going crazy in S.C.

This is a sure fire you've got some driver problem or other system instability. This sort of problem can only occur in a driver.

Does the card show up if you check "only show cards in this machine" in config? I would not think it would. Mine did not. The 1027 uses a different driver than the regular Twinhan BDA drivers. Look at this thread. http://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php?t=23023 It should set you up for the 1027. Also make sure you downloaded the right driver frim Twinhan.

You can download updated and new satellite definitions from http://joshyfun.peque.org/transponders/index.html.

Copy them in into the c:\program files\devnz\gbpvr\BDA\DVB-S

Well, i got the 1025 in (wow - that was fast, 2 days from California to Texas). Anyway, I got the old DN 500 setup, ran cable, put the card in my test box and my pc locks up on startup. I had my old AverTV card in there and finally figured out that you can't have the 1025 in the same system that already has a bt878 chipset on it. So, I yanked the AverTV card, and was ablet to boot up without locking up. But now the system won't recognize the card. I tried running the BDA install and it didn't find any devices. I also tried "add hardware wizard" in XP to no avail. I suspect that there are still bt878 drivers installed, so it is ignoring the new hardware.

I think I'm going to try the card in my actual GBPVR server, since I haven't installed a software tv card since my last OS re-install. But before I do that, does anyone have any ideas?

I have the 1027 and 1025 drivers on the PC without problem. Double check that you got the right BDA driver set off of the Twinhan site. I got confused when I first tried to find them. On mine, I just had to select "show only cards installed on this machine" in config and it showed up. I had to do extra for the 1027 but not for the 1025. If you still get stuck, you may try to download MyTheatre (it is free for testing) and see if it finds the card. It should show you the card as it boots up.

Keep us updated, Good luck!
