I had GBPVR set to start when windows loaded, now after I installed .12 it doesnt do it anymore, the shortcut in the startup folder is still there that made it start before .12 so whats going on?

I'm guessing its something wrong with your shortcut.

The only thing I did was install .12 nothing else changed, I will delete the current shortcut and make a new one and see if that works.

Re doing the shortcut solved it for some odd reason, doesnt make sense why installing .12 would screw that up but whatever.

The shortcuts change with every version. I have a program group for TV, everytime gbpvr updates I have to copy the shortcuts from the main Program-group to the TV-group.

Yea but it shouldnt have any effect on the shortcut since the file name or path does not change when you update the program. I have never had to re do shortcuts when I have updated other applications.

Who cares. You've got it going. Obviously Microsoft store some extra info in these shortcuts which was invalidated when you upgraded.

How about adding a checkbox in the config app that adds/remove the required registry key to start gbpvr with windows? Then the problem will be solved.

Obviously sub wants nothing to do with this, so for those that do care, here is how to start it using the registry. I have tested this on Xp and it works, will come back to post after Gbpvr gets updated and let you know if it still starts with windows after the update.

Go to Start, then run, type in regedit and hit enter.
Navigate to the:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run
or
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run
folder depending upon whether you want it to start all the time, or just when that user logs on.

Once in that folder add a new string, I called mine GBPVR, and then point it to the gbpvr.exe, for a default install it would be: "C:\Program Files\devnz\gbpvr\gbpvr.exe" The " must be be included.
