I still can't post in that darned forum. My daughter and son are fighting like cats and dogs. This is frustrating.

The heat problem that I had with the 1027 may be unique to my setup or possibly a bad card. I haven't read of anyone else having trouble with it anyways. All I know is the sucker was scolding hot in my pc and things are working like they should with the 1025.

Keep in mind there is no support for diseqc switching with KWorld cards, so it'll only work in setups with one dish and one LNB .

It doesn't seem to be getting that hot in my PC. So maybe it was something else that caused the Twinhan to get a signal then never get one again.

You may want to try getting setup with MyTheatre or DVBdream first. GBPVR does work great, and is the ultimate solution, but the others have some additional DVB features like helping set the diseqc settings. You likely have the wrong LOF settings for your LNBs but I can't help you on that since you are using DirectTV stuff. You may have to hit some other forums to find someone who knows that hardware to get the correct settings.

Thanks Soccerdad. I have tried DVBdream. I still don't know if DirecTV sat dish and LNB can be used. Also if so, I am not sure which settings in DVBdream would be correct.

I once talked to someone using a direct tv LNB and he said it was like a legacy dish lnb. IF that is true, try lof1=0 , 0 switch and lof2=11250. Are you sure you are pointed at a sat?

When I try loading the 1027 drivers I get that MEDIA device is already installed and it fails to load the drivers for the 1027 Crossbar. I tried it on a known working system and I have tried from a fresh XP SP2 install.
I know for a fact it works on a XP 2600 system but it does appears to not like the AMD64 chipsets. We (friends like the 1027 too) have tried it on the AMD64 and a AM2 X2 chipset.
Any suggestions?
