epia 100% cpu during playback

Ok, I know it's not a GB-PVR issue, but when I play a file in either GB-PVR or media player it spikes the cpu to 100%, but Power DVD is steady around 50%

I've got one of those PIA epia boards with hardware acceleration turned on. I just reloaded the OS, and am kicking myself because it used to work just fine, I was even able to run comskip inline! It may be a driver thing...

I played with the settings in media player but I don't really know what I'm doin with that.

I've gotten pretty good at using the search function on this forum, but was unable to find something to help.

does anyone have any suggestions?

Try switching to the Overlay video renderer.

This machine is way below the recommended minimum 1GHz PIII class CPU.
