I am trying to setup my machine to hibernate but I can't get it to wake up properly. When the machine wakes I just get a black screen with a mouse pointer and nothing else until I hit the windows key to bring up the start menu. The desktop then appears and if I open explorer for example the desktop doesn't refresh properly until I kill off GBPVR.exe from the task manager. The recording service seems unaffected. If I let the machine hibernate without GBPVR running it wakes up fine.

I have searched the forums and other resume errors aren't quite like mine as I am getting errors recorded in the logs (attached). I am running XPSP2 99.12 with all the patches applied and 1 Nova-T USB2 and a Freecom DVB-T USB stick all with the latest drivers.

Thanks

Tim

Thanks for the reply. I saw that post and at first read I didn't think that they were related but after thinking more about it you maybe right. That gives me something to think about and play with tomorrow. I'll let you know how I get on.

Thanks for the pointer.
