Ah - good. I was just starting to add extra logging to see if we could work out where the problem was occurring.

I take it there's no method we know of for remote controlling a Direct3d application and actually seeing the screen??

You should be able to see if with VNC on an XP machine. I can also see it when I remote desktop into my Vista machine. I think its just a problem when trying to use Remote Desktop on XP/2000.
Thats the non "-fse" version though. I'm not sure what will happen with -fse.

My vnc loads the desktop but then I start pxrx2, I don't see it running, still see the desktop.
I use ultravnc on Windows MCE.

I'm using ultravnc to control two XP machines, and can see the interface ok. Its not great at showing all the animations, but if I click on the screen it usually refreshes the screen correctly.

weird, not worried about animations, but would like to see it. Could you dump your settings some how?? Screenshot maybe.

I just checked and the server I'm running is TightVNC 1.2.9. The client was UltraVNC. I'm fairly sure the server is just the default settings. I often set the client to 256 colours for speed, but it does work with full colour too.

cant for the life of me get it to work. Start pvrx2 and I see nothing on the screen, turn the tv over to the pvr channel, and there is the interface.
I only know it's there cos I alt-f4 and it crashes. Im using the video hook driver for ultraVNC 1.0.2 on server and client. |
