Ok - as I've mentioned before when I'm playing back a recording "sometimes" when I skip forward PVRX2.EXE hangs - It shows as using 50% of the cpu in Task Manager (Dual core processor). I've attached the logs - It looks like its stuck in a loop something to do with the brush colour for add breaks???

I'm using the Blue skin and version 1.0.16 - let me know if theres anything else you need!

Can you reproduce the problem with the logging level set to 'debug', then zip and attach the PVRX2.exe.log and PVRX2.exe-native.log files?

Ok - Its just done it again in the next half hour so I've turned up the debug level now - so now murphy's law will kick in and it won't happen again tonight Smile ! Heres hoping it will!

Ok - heres the logs as requested - verbose logs for pvrx2.exe and pvrx2.native.exe - Hopefully you can make sense of it.

P.S - I had a window to try and make it fault while the wife was finishing putting our daughters to bed so I held the skip forward and back down for extended periods - It never faulted going fwd and back in 1 minute blocks with Skip buttons but it faulted fairly quickly holding down FFWD which I have set for 10 second skips.

Cheers,

Matt

hmm, sorry, but I might have to ask you to try again, but with the log flushing enabled in the config app. I can tell I havnt got the end of the logs, which is the most likely place for the error to occur.

Cool - I've switched the option - I tried the same thing holding down 10sec skip fwd but it ran back and forward through a 30minute recording with no problems. Hopefully it'll fault again tonight.

I've got the same problem that Matt is seeing. I was seeing it quite often yesterday. This time it took a bunch more skipping for it to happen. I did have the log flushing enabled.

OK. There isnt anything obvious in the logs, but when Matt posts his I'll see if I can see anything common between the two.

Ok - heres the logs from tonights first stall - I just held down the ffwd (10 second skip) button and it hung. On a whim I killed hip and tried again as I have a Hauppauge MCE remote that I use hip to launch PVRX2.EXE but otherwise use the native support and wondered if it might be doubling up remote commands or something but I was able to hang it again straightaway. On a whim while in the stuck state I ran systernals process explorer to see if it would glean more info. The internal process using all the CPU was quartz.dll which reminded me I'm still using the Quartz.dll from Directx 9b (ver 6.5.1.902). So wanted to check if you thought this could be the problem - What version of Quartz.dll are you running dslowik ??

To be honest, I'm not really sure. There is no sign of any problem in the logs.
