Using 1.08 and Nvidea N6200 video card (Socket 754 Sempron 2600) I see slight tearing of the video when playing both MPEG2 and Divx. Is this just a performance issue or something with VMR9 Custom which is the only setting available with the new GUI?

Thanks

Try running PVRX2.exe -fse

It invokes Full Screen Exclusive mode. I find this works much better than VMR Custom for me.

dont know what output you are using
i have a 6200 and it seems to be coming up alot with this issue (more than any other card)
im using component interlaced 720x576
im just having more of a play since upgrading to 10016 it seems worse
have you tried winding the flicker filter all the way to the left seems to be making a difference wouldnt say perfect but better

edit nah i was wrong its still shit vmr custom is really becoming a pan in the ass

Tried the -fse option and while it seemed to minimize the tearing, when I exited pvrx2.exe it left the windows desktop in a bit of a mess! I think I will just stick with the standard and put up with the (albeit minor) tearing

VMR9 Custom caused tearing for me. When I switched back to VMR9, it was fine again.

My understanding is with pvrx2 it always uses VMR9 Custom no matter what option you have set. I did try -fse as I noted, and that didn't work. I can live with the tearing since it's pretty minor.

i had similar problems, tearing/jerky picture, no sound, with my cyblerlink video decoder, found it was the FSE option causing the problem. http://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php?t=28872

Got rid of that and everything seems to stablise.
