Hello,

I have an AverTVHD A180 capture card. I got everything setup on my PC and it seemed to be promising. Put in the frequency for a channel so I could test it and was pleased to see a picture come through. However to my disappointment the picture had a severe green tint. I thought maybe it was a defective card or something else.

I then downloaded the free trial of beyondTV and when I view the same channel through there it looks normal for me. No green tint.

Does anyone have a suggestion of anything I could try? I am wanting to use GBPVR rather than beyondTV.

Thanks in advance.

I have the same card, works great with various versions of GB-PVR.

Did you install the MyTV app that came with the card just to test things out? Curious whether the green tint shows up there.

There's no good reason that the card itself would generate a green tint. It is just tuning and routing the embedded encoded audio and video to the PCI bus. The only reason I can think of for a tint to selectively show up in different apps would be the media filter graph used in GB-PVR vs. other apps.

Does the display change between live and recorded ATSC data?

Change the video decoder being used by GB-PVR.

Thanks for the quick reply. What is your suggestion of the correct video decoder to use? Sorry for being a n00b :p
