Setup software recently to test. Do not have a compatible tuner card installed, want to evelaute software before comitting to purchase anything new. Have pretty much everything working that is functional without a card, but can not get DVD to play. Software recognizes, brings up menu, can do setup ops from menu but when I hit play it freezes up there. Plays fine in cyberlink power DVD. Any ideas? I have all the DVD playback options set to use Cyberlink apps.

Thanks in advance.

If you're asking if DVD playback is possible through the standard video-out I believe the answer is no (at this time, at least).

Yes, the playback should work on you PC monitor in this situation. I've not come across a freeze myself. Have you tried other DVDs?

Do you have other DVD filter options you can try in the config app. Also, maybe worth trying it with VMR7/VMR9/Overlay.

If you dont get it going, you can zip and email you log files to me at support@devnz.com. These may contain some clues.

Yes, it should work. There is not really much you can be doing wrong, its more likely some combination of things (directshow filters etc) on your machine dont like working together.

Well if it works then sorry, my bad. I was just under the impression that it only worked on the XCard and limited on the 350.

Hi All,

Appreciate very much all the efforts to help. Solution to the problem was to switch from vmr9 to overlay. Everything appears to be working pretty well now.

Yes, I dont think the Cyberlink decoder is compatible with VMR. Other decoders like Intervideo (from WinDVD) function with VMR.
