By off chance, did you satisfy the requirements for running:

1) In case you dont already have them, you need to have .net 2.0 installed,
2) as well as the updated Microsoft runtime from http://www.gbpvr.com/vcredist_x86.zip.

Yes, numerous times. Smile

To continue the saga, I had a PVR-150 card in another computer. I installed it in this computer, put its drivers in and re-installed GB-PVR and it ran config just fine, and is showing TV in GB-PVR.

So, both the 1600 MCE and 1600 HVR cards I have don't work in this.

I'd like to figure out why, but at least it is running.

These arent your problem, and can be safely ignored. It is just trying to work out what muxes you have available so it can list them in the mux setting on the misc tab of the config app.

Thing that I can't understand is that I can't find any mux software in any of my CD's with my things. I have found things online, but those even don't show up in the MUX display.

Once I tune up the 150 I'm going to try again for the 1600. I reset my BIOS settings and that didn't change anything with the 150. Thanks again for your help and patience.

Mux filters dont come with very much software. They tend to only come with specialised software like Cyberlink PowerCinema etc (not PowerDVD!).

We've never had the MuxChecker utility not find a valid mux that is installed, so I can only assume you dont have any installed. You can find download links for mux filters in this thread: http://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php?t=25630

These arent going to fix your problem though.

Thanks for the info. Going to try again with the 1600 and see how it goes later today perhaps. If it doesn't I'm returning at least one of the 1600s I bought!

I'm having the same problem. More or less the same log output. System is WinXP, P4 with HVR-1600. One thing in the log that was worring me is the last line:

"2007-12-19 18:17:27.984 ERROR Failed to find requested device: Hauppauge PVR150 (instance 1)"

This setup was working fine prior to upgrading to 1.1.5. I did a clean upgrade (uninstall, remove directory, install new) on this rev.

Do you also have a PVR150 + HVR1600?

I took the 150 out when I last rebuilt the PC, so this is was a clean bare-metal install with only the 1600. I am considering putting the 150 in (in addition tothe 1600) at this point.
