PVRX2 freezes on start

I clean installed xp pro w/ SP2 in my PC.
specs: 2.8 GHz/512MB RAM/128MB nvidia GE FORCE 5200

I installed .net 2.0, visual C++. Then installed GBPVR v1.1.5 .

I was able to successfully set up my HVR-1600 and GBPVR detects it as the ATSC capture source. I followed the wiki and installed Schedules Direct I-XMLTV client. all this wet fine.

when I start PVRX2 it starts and when i click TV guide it hangs up in 2 seconds. It doesnt close the window but just freezes after few flickering.

BDA mux chedker shows

NO MULTIPLEXER FILTERS WHERE FOUND ON YOUR MACHINE.
I have cyberlink power DVD v7.3 installed.

I know the capture card works bcoz i have another pc in which i have gbpvr working with no probs. that system has a P4 1.8 GHz and HVR 1600 needs atleast 2.2GHx and it shows stuttering when watcing live TV. I just pulled the card out and installed in thi system. Dunno what I am doing wrong.

I think its not gracefully handling the fact you've got no channels setup.

When you go into you capture source settings, if you're channels are listed but not enabled, then I'm guessing you didnt do the 'map digital channels to epg channels' step.

Not sure if this is related, but I've also noticed some lock up problems where PVRX2 will freeze for dozens of seconds at startup. I've always attributed it in the past to the EPG loading, but I think it may be something else as seen in the log snip below:

Note that there is about a 1 minute laps between the bolded log entries.

I've never seen any one minute delays during startup.

The two I'd check are:
- if you remove all plugins does it still do it?
- if you empty the epg does it still do it?

I was successfully able to update epg, map digital channels and the gbpvr shows all channels i get. when i start pvrx2 it just shows the window borders. log shows the following error. I am also attaching the log file if it helps better.

also the config log shows this message ERROR [6] XMLTV: error reading xml: Root element is missing.

also... i still cant figure out how i can install a mux

I have cyberlink powerDVD installed.
