Many thanks, downloaded and unzipped fine this time. VLC launch works a treat - have edited a few shows and very nice to use. I'll not add these to the wishlist yet until I've used a bit more, but things that sprung into my mind when using it are:-

(1) Would it be possible to use an existing, open VLC window, as I was having to shrink the VLC window and move it a bit to see both comfortably (I think windows explorer works this way?).

(2) ability to delete file and database entry if a duplicate episode is found.

Sorry about the above, but I'm trying to get an excellent tool perfect for my needs.

many thanks,
Martin

You can configure VLC to do this: Settings-> Preferences-> Advanced. Make sure the 'Advanced Options' checkbox is selected, then select "Allow only one running instance".

Quote:(2) ability to delete file and database entry if a duplicate episode is found.
I would not automatically do this, but I could possibly add a button to allow you to manually delete the file and entry in the recordings table.

You are using an Access MDB for the GBPVR database. I believe there is some tool out there that performs an upgrade to a .db3 database.

Since MDBs really aren't supported anymore, none of my programs were written to support them. You should upgrade to SQLite, then it should work.

Sorry for that - I should have RTFM

Ohh, no, I wouldn't like or want any automatic deletions. I did mean a delete button or somesuch. No panic, it would just save having to jot the episode details down and clearing them up with gbpvr at some later time.

Thanks again

Ok, I think you are referring to entries 399 and 400 in the db you sent. The problem with these two entries, are that they do not point to any show in the EPG, ie. the programme_oid column in the RECORDING_SCHEDULE table is empty or NULL.

If the RECORDING_SCHEDULE row does not have the programe_oid column populated, I cannot point to an existing entry in the PROGRAMME table which contains the title, episode and description to be updated. Without that linkage EpisodeTweaker has nothing to update.

Ok. Thanks. By the way, is there anyway to sort by the date on the recordings? Right now they do not show in any specific order as far as date goes. Also, anyway to refresh the program other than closing and reopening?
