Hi,

I seem to pick up the DVB-T test channels in NZ fine, but when running Live TV in gbpvr I get choppy playback. I'm using a Compro T750 Dual DVB-T/Analog Tuner. I have Powerdvd Ultra as I am able to watch my bluray movies on my HTPC, so I know I have the h.264 codec. I also have a fairly fast computer with a Core 2 Duo processor, 3GB RAM and an Asus 2600XT graphics card.

Now are there any settings that I need to make in order to get this to work. Thanks.

Do you know if the hardware accelleration features of your 2600XT card are being used? People have had endless problems with these ATI video cards getting accelleration working correctly. If it is being used you should get less than 10% CPU usage (which is what I see on my ATI 2600 Pro).

Will have to put in a bluray movie and check the cpu usage. Will have to get back to you on that when I test it out. As far as I know its working. Have been reading on other threads about the ATI BDA mux, but not quite sure if thats the problem.

Yeah, its worth comparing the CPU usage when you're viewing live tv in GB-PVR, and the blu-ray movie. If its high, then it isnt using the 2600XT hardware decoder.

Mux filters only affect recordings, so wont have any impact on live tv.

Yeah, I tried a bluray disc and the cpu usage fluctuates between 16 -20%, which I believe is normal for hardware acceleration.

More importantly though, how much CPU usage are you getting in GB-PVR when you get this choppy playback?

Well, now I dont even get an image, just a black screen. So it makes me think that somewhere the settings aren't right.

If you post the logs I'll see if anything stands out.

I tried it again using PVRX2 and got video, but it was choppy as before. The cpu usage fluctuates, but the highest it went was 10%.

I've attached the logs.

Can you also post the pvrx2.exe-native.log?
