Choppy Playback DVB-T NZ

Sorry, I dont really know. There is nothing obvious in the logs. It could be the audio filter causing choppiness. (after being delivered AAC data it doesnt understand)

The next release will get the audio going for you.

I've realised that this problem with the choppy playback has nothing to do with GB PVR as far as I know, because I get the same problem with DVBViewer and the software that came with the card. Just thought it was worth mentioning.

Maybe you could try searching on the forum for "PCI Latency" I saw some posts a while back about data not being delivered off the card in a timely fashion.

Thanks for the idea about "PCI Latency". Unfortunately, even when I changed the latency from the default 64 to 96 and then 128, it still wouldnt work either in GB PVR or dvbviewer. Thanks anyways.

Maybe a bit of a thread hijack... but are you running the 2600 pro with Windows XP or Vista? I've got an nVidia 8500GT with Windows XP SP2 and I can't seem to get h.264 harwdare acceleration to work. CPU utilisation sits at anywhere from 45 to 70% utilisation when playing DVB-T TVNZ recordings (no skipping or anything) which seems very high compared to what people seem to be getting when playing back h.264. I have no clue if harwdare acceleration is or isn't being used... or even possible with XP.

Vista, with the EVR renderer. I often get less than 5% CPU.

Thanks for that. Have you heard of anyone actually getting h.264 hardware acceleration working with XP, and what cards they used?
