I have regular bluray discs in the drive playing back perfectly via a custom menu for PowerDVD, but need to find a way to do the same for Bluraay ISOs stored on my server. I can playback regular DVD ISOs fine with Daemon Tools and just selecting the image in either the standard Video playback or MovieWiz etc. However because PVRX2 won't play bluray (except if remuxed to MKVs or somesuch) then I need a way to run the Daemon Tools mount followed by PDVD (and then unmount afterwards) when selecting a Bluray ISO from within PVRX2.

Any ideas? I'm so close to my perfect setup now, but I have to manually mount Bluray ISOs from the PC before selecting the custom menu PDVD item in PVRX2. (Oh for a Directshow filter that can playback Bluray menus and everything).

Sorry there is nothing built in that would help you do this.

ok, no problem. I guess I can select the ISO from Video Library, this will make Daemon Tools automount it...but fail to playback. Then exit and go to PowerDVD option. However I think there is an unmount that happens when you stop playback of the ISO in Video Library...though it doesn't seem to happen all the time, as I've seen the Daemon tools still showing the ISO mounted sometimes. Is this likely to be a reliable approach? Does Video Library only send the unmount then mount when you select a new ISO? If so, then this would be enough for me (though a bit convoluted for novices/family members).

From memory the app will never try to unmount an ISO. It stay the mounted ISO until you try to play another ISO file.

Not sure if we're talking about the same thing, but I'm using the external player option in MovieWiz to launch a batch file that unmounts, mounts the bluray .ISO and calls PowerDVD. This method works for me.
