When I watch a recorded show with the PCH it like cycle backs to the beginning. I'll be watching it and then a commercial comes on so I fast forward until its over and then the show is back to the beginning. I never had this problem when using the Media MVP. Has anybody else had this problem or knows what I'm doing wrong?

What type of capture device was used for doing the recording?

It sounds like some kind of time line problem in the record, similar to the infamous PVR-150 timestamp bug. Can you watch the same video on the PC or MVP without problem?

The MVP doesnt play files directly from shares - are you talking about the PCH? If so, thats probably something different.

yeh i have this trouble with ts files recorded with a 1600 when i play them back on pch. i was thinking it had to do with me watching them while they were still recording thats the only time ive really noticed it. i just saw a bug post about someone having this trouble too but they were using llink or whatever it is.

The PCH has many problems with navigating in mpeg-ts and in live tv, compounded it is that much worse. I can understand live tv somewhat, I don't think the PCH wasn't designed for watching dynamic files over http (it does support rtsp interestingly enough) but I think the mpeg-ts issue is just not high priority. Using the Cyberlink mux for digital is probably a little bit safer at this point.

I don't think it's a general timeline issue specifically, although don't expect the PCH to correct bad PVR 150 captures and certainly any captured mpeg-ts file should be identical so it is not the HVR 1600. Analog recordings for my HVR 1600 play without any problems too.

I am using a Hauppauge PVR 150 to record shows. I never had this problem before using the PCH. I'll have to see if it happens while watching on the MVP. Although it never happened before using the MVP.
I really like the PCH with GBPVR though. The remote response time is a lot better and the fast forwards are so smooth compared to the MVP.

For analog mpeg-ps I've only seen this type of behavior and live and time-shifted live recordings, other playback has been pretty good. You'd be able to tell there was a timeline problem if you use the info button, the time and the progress bar will show bad values.

If you think it is an NMT problem, be prepared to create a post on the NMT forums describing a reproduceable scenario with the myihome software (which comes closest to how GBPVR does mpeg) and you will have to upload a sample.

You can't compare the MVP and PCH playback it is not done the same way.
