Crash during ATSC scan

no dice. Now, it won't even begin to scan without dying. Now, you said change the T:29,0,0 to T:0,0,0, but in my .(I'm assuming this means whatever directory my GBPVR folder is in) bda/atsc/all.ini file, I don't have a single T. Instead, I have lines like 30=29,0,0. Am I looking in the wrong place?

Post the new logs, and the ini file, and I'll take a look. You must have broken something in the ini file when you tried editing it.

Sorry, I couldnt remembre the exact details. 30=0,0,0 should do it.

Thanks. I don't think I messed anything up. Editing a simple text file shouldn't be that complicated (neither should be scanning for channels, I suppose) I changed it back to how it was originally and the scan still died. I was unsure, however, whether to change the 28=29,0,0 or 29=30,0,0 line, so I changed each and tried rescanning with no success. Attached are my log files and ini file. It should be exactly how it comes with the standard install.

To be honest, I'm not really sure. There is nothing definitive in the logs. Maybe try this patch: http://forums.gbpvr.com/showpost.php?p=2...stcount=90

Thanks for all your help sub. I really appreciate it. I also love that you are from New Zealand. I would think that you are, like me, an All Blacks fan?! Anyway, thanks for gbpvr. I'm really hoping that I can get it to work because I want to use it. Thanks! I'll try out the patch tomorrow and let you know how it works out.

I'm curious if the WinTV channel scan works, or does it fail as well?

It has succeeded once with the wintv scan, but failed every other time. And even when it did succeed, the picture didn't come in o rwas really choppy. This makes me think it is a system thing and I thought I had it nailed to the mobo, but a new mobo (same make and model, just a replacement) didn't help. The memory is fine because it has been tested several times and two completely different memory sticks had the same result. I can't imagine it being a processor issue as I would be having problems in other places as well. I get the same results on two different hard drives and two different OS (Vista and XP). The tuner card works just fine and dandy in other systems. I've updated the bios and gotten the latest drivers for everything.

The error message I get is the memory access violation error and I can reproduce that error when I run the memory through a burn test AND both sticks are in. When I only try one stick of memory, the burn test checks out just fine, but the atsc scan still crashes. I have to believe the problem lies somewhere between the tuner card and memory because nothing else crashes or has any issues.

Is it possible that some equipment just doesn't work well together? I don't know what else to try.

If you can't get it to work in WinTv, you won't get it to work in GBPVR. If you have any splitters attached to the antenna line, try removing them to eliminate a signal problem.
