Hey sub,

Here they are. Let me know if you need any additional information.

Thanks!

Sorry, I dont know. Those logs look fine, and there is no sign of any errors.

Do you mean PVRX2.exe closes, or the video playback closes?

If the former, maybe check the Windows Event Viewer for crash messages.

Hey sub,

Yeah, PVRX2.exe just closes with no error. I took a look at the Event Viewer but didn't see anything regarding PVRX2.exe. Maybe I am not looking in the right place?

Thanks,

I'm pretty sure there should be a message in the Windows Event Viewer.

Otherwise maybe try different decoders. If that doesnt help, maybe try the 'TS Mux' for recording instead of the DVR-MS mux.

Hey guys,

Well, I had got everything working yesterday with the one Pinnacle PCTV HD 800i PCI card so I went out a got another. So now my machine has two cards, but now it seems like I am back at the beginning. Neither one picks up any channels in GB-PVR (both are working in Pinnacle TV Center Pro). I have the devices set as device 1 and device 2 and both are connecting to SchedulesDirect. I have attached the latest logs, hopefully it is something simple. I was so close! Smile

Thanks!

The logs seem to indicating the driver does not support QAM mode.

It may be some driver limitation in multidevice setups or something.

Hey sub,

wow... I didn't see that coming. So I guess I will be taking back one of the cards. Unless there is something else you can think of to try. I can confirm that both cards function in QAM mode in Pinnacle TV Center Pro.

Thanks,

I still say it's the ATSCMode setting. Open Device Manager, browse to "Sound, video and game controllers", right click your device and select "Properties". Go to the "Details" tab and find the "Device class guid" property.

Run regedit and browse to the following node (replace "[GUID]" with your device GUID found above):

Code:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Class\[color=Red][GUID][/color]\0017\settings\OEMSettings

Look for the value "ATSCMode" and change it to "2". Then run a scan in GBPVR. If no channels are found then it is simply a matter of changing your qam.ini to scan the correct frequencies.

Correction: The class GUID should be the same as I show above but the registry key "0017" may be different. Click on each numbered key and look for the value "DeviceDesc" on the right to find the correct key for your device.
