We can watch ITV HD in PVRX2 with a manually edited scan-cache file. (ITV HD is a red-button service broadcast with an incorrect video PID)

But we could not get a picture when playing back any recordings of ITV HD - only sound.
Thanks to a quick patch from Sub at post 9 of this thread:
http://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php?t=37073
We could now watch any recordings previously made from ITV HD.

However, any new recordings made with the patched GBPVRTSReader will not play with either the old TSreader or the new one:eek:
Attempting to play with the new patched version results in the file 'playing' through in just a few minutes, as if it is on FF, with no sound.
If the original TSReader is used, the file plays at normal speed with sound but no picture.

I know this is a very specific problem, but would be great to have it working. I believe GBPVR was the first app able to view ITV HD and play ITV HD recordings.
There is still a short ITV HD recording, made with the original TSReader, available here:
http://www.megaupload.com/?d=FBA5338C (I noticed that after using TSCutter to snip this recording there are some glitches in the file, that were not there prior to snipping...)
If logs, or a full TS recording of ITV HD would be helpfull, I will provide them.

The GBPVRTSReader is only used inside the PVRX2.exe process during the playback of .ts files. All recordings occur in GBPVRRecordingService.exe, and doesnt use this GBPVRTSReader, so I'm sure its not related to that.

The file from the link above plays for for me in PVRX2.exe using the current GBPVRTSReader.exe. Was this file suppose to be a problem one? Post a problem one and I'll try playing that so I can see the problem.

Yes the link above was an old file that did work.
I will upload a bit of a problem file (recorded King Kong yesterday & now have a 18gb file I can't watch!).
All I know is that I can watch ITV HD using live preview, but cannot see any picture if timeshift is used, nor when playing any new recording.
Old recordings like the file mentioned above play fine using the patched TSReader.

Assuming you havnt applied any other patches, then nothing should have changed from old recordings unless ITV have changed something about the stream.

Post a sample recording though and I'll take a look.

Whilst trying out the old and new TSReader, I did notice that the older version will always play the audio description commentary on HD recordings - the newer one does not. I did see several posts about that - hopefully those with that issue can just use the newer TSReader...

OK Sub here is a small part of a recent ITV HD recording:
http://www.megaupload.com/?d=MT2QDC5A
It's only a minute long - still took nearly 2 hours to upload!

There is nothing wrong with the recording, but ITV have changed a couple of things in the stream since your old recordings which trip up the TS reader. Try the attached update which should handle these new changes.

You're a star Sub, the new TSReader plays both the old and new ITV HD recordings, thank you.

Hope ITV don't keep changing stuff just to be annoying!

Is it possible to put this TSReader in the survival guide? I've had terrible problems recently with BBC HD playback pausing after 30s for no apparent reason (for new recordings, old ones played fine and I couldn't for the life of me remember what I'd done - could still have been the BBC not me!). But the TSReader above solved the problem! It was only by complete desperation I searched for TSReader and found this thread!
