Uninstall, delete the '"c:\program files\devnz" directory, then install v0.91.8. Perform a scan then email your logs to me at support@devnz.com and I'll take a look.

The way I have done it is to first uninstall gbpvr completely. Then delete the old gbpvr directory (as it keeps nearly all of its settings and database) then install the 90.10 release. I have seen that message before when the gbpvrrecorder service wasn't running. Also, if this is on an mce machine, make sure to kill any eh* processes before doing anything.

Yes it is an mce 2005 machine so i'll be killing a few eh's before i try it again. I take it those processes can affect something in gb pvr then?

Yes, its mostly the ehrecvr process because it takes control of the tv card so gb-pvr cannot get a hold on it! Also, one of the other ones causes media center to start if you press certain buttons on the remote (if you have a remote). As you can tell, you're not the only one fed up with mce2005!!!

I've mailed the logs to you Sub, good luck
I tried the scan with all those processes killed but no joy. I'll try what you said about removing the whole dir before installing 90.10.

Hi, sorry, my mistake, it seemed like it was working but its not. Just to confirm then, the only release I can get working is the 90.10 one. Thats both with my Nova-T card and my Blackgold card.
Cheers Chris
Yey! Thanks Chris, managed to get 0.90.10 working! Not sure if it was to do with those eh* processes running or not. Is there a way to stop them from running? I'm not sure if I should bother trying to upgrade to 0.91.8 again, are you sure it worked when you did it? *Edit: just read your last post and thought it wouldnt, I'll stick with this one for the time being looks near enough the same...* Anyway, time to start tweaking...
