Hi all - I'm trying to get playback to work in GBPVR for some files encoded in AVC1/VORB/H.264. They playback fine in VLC Media Player, but don't work in GBPVR. Attached is a screenshot of my Playback settings. The file name is typically mkv. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Does it work in windows media player?

Have you got a media splitter (haali media splitter) to split out the streams of the MKV to it's components?

Then finally do you have an x264 codec to play the x264 stream?

Doesn't work in WMP.

I downloaded and installed Haali Media Splitter and still doesn't play. Maybe I'm missing some settings?

Do you have a recommended codec for x264? It plays fine for me in VLC.

I use Cyberlink Power DVD 8 for h.264 decoding.

You could also try CoreAVC for a free option, or ffdshow.

Another pay option is Total Arcsoft something or rather. They have another pay codec. The pay ones will generally give you hardware decoding if your graphics card supports it (Nvidia 8500gt and above).
