MKV playback pops up taskbar

Whenever I start an MKV file I get the bottom taskbar to pop up and pvrx2 looses focus. Since I control gbpvr from a remote this means I have to fetch the keyboard and click in the gbpvr window to regain focus and get the remote to work.

Why is this happening and can it be avoided? I suspect it is the tray icon for vobsub that triggers loss of focus. Can gbpvr be set to be always on top?

It can be set to be always on top, but that is not the same thing as having focus, so you'll see the app but the remote will still not work. You'll need to find what is causing the focus problem and uninstall or disable it.

I was afraid you were going to say that. I think as I said the vobsub tray icon is the problem. But I cannot disable subtitles...

I have had these problems sometimes when activating other standard video and Live TV as well. Not sure about the causings there, but the same irritating results.

No way to make gbpvr be always on top and lock focus when it is in full screen mode? When in windowed mode the problem is of no importance.

There is nothing that'll force the app to always have focus. There is lots of other people that manage to use vobsub without this problem, so I'm sure you'll be able to get a setup that can use it too.

Ok, I will try and hunt down the source of this problem.
It started to appear a few months ago. I believe it was when I activated the vobsub option "autoload bla bla". That was the only way I could get subtitles to be loaded at all (for mkv). That tip is posted in some thread somewhere here.

Do you recommend some other way to get MKV subs to load without any hassles?
