Not sure whether continuing this thread is the right place...
I've also been trying to get the Nova HD S2 to do S2 modulation scheme reception without success in GBPVR 1.3.11, WHS 2003, 2 x Nova S2 For testing I made up an .ini file (for 192.E, 11362H) with most/all of the sensible schemes for S2 values and then set the scan going but it fails to find anything. DVBDream (same box) does do S2 OK, so there is I guess some means of commanding the card via, presumably, BDA. Lehane

See this thread, and the patch it contains: http://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php?t=40922

Well it turned out to be something else (I'd got all the updates) - and a note for others using this card...
I followed the note here http://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php?t=35846 about adding to the bda.ini but that section doesn't include the additional native tuning extension and these aren't documented in the wiki. So I changed the entry to clone the HVR 4000 and S2 works fine. I guess the previous poster was using the HVR 4000 entry. Now to get channel scan not to crash.... it's a shame it dies with no error information, even in the psi.log or win eventlog, and the number of channels scanned before crash is random. Lehane |
