config.exe freezes and crashes during HVR-2250 setup

Hi all,
After a long hiatus I am trying to get GBPVR up and running again and am having a problem getting my HVR-2250 setup. I am attempting to setup the card using the Digital Recording Plugin, which detects it as a HVR-2250 (I am using it for OTA captures). SO I can run the "Map digital channels to EPG channels" it detects a whole bunch of channels. the issue arises when I go to view a channel to map it. When I click on a channel, config.exe freezes and then eventually crashes. The really strange thing is that I can successfully view programs with both wintv 7 and beyondtv? Any ideas?

I am running Vista Business w/ SP1
2 gigs of ram
quad core cpu
my video is an onboard card using the intel G45 chipset
HVR-2250 with version 27023 drivers

Hi Sub,
No luck at all. I replaced the files and tried again. Nothing as far as video in the setup and if attempt to map a digital channel to the listing and then start pvrx2 I just get a blank screen. Are there any logs I can grab from the setup portion of this?

Hi all,
I am at my witt's end! I have tried everything from reloading my software, downgrading from Vista to XP, installing WinTV 6, installing WinTV 7, released drivers, beta drivers and I still get nothing from gbpvr. When I put the patches that Sub posted in I do not crash anymore but I still get no video on either the analog or digital tuners (don't care about the analog but figured it was worth the try). Is there anything I can do to try to debug this issue? Could someone please at least tell me where the log files are stored?

Sorry to be completely inept but you have to start somewhere.

ps. I still can get the card to work with every other software package that I have run on it. It just seems to be GBPVR????

Reproduce the problem, then zip and attach the logs and I'll take a look. The logs are found in "c:\program files\devnz\gbpvr\logs"

Hi Sub,
I got it to work by installing the hd version of PowerDVD. I believe that I didn't have a multiplexer filter installed.
