NMTInstall update problem

I've just had occasion to build a complete new Vista GBPVR server. I used the NMTinstall to build everything, including installing GBPVR, skins and PCH stuff (all boxes ticked). I don't think I missed anything, but whilst I got the latest mcpmcx2 and pvrx2, I seem to have an old GBPVRrecordingservice - dated 12/1/2009.

I only noticed because live tv stopped behaving properly when I paused, RW or FastForwarded and had also regained a tendancy to skip back to the start of a live tv session.

What is the date of GBPVRRecordingService.zip in the mvpmc folder?

the zip file is dated 27/5/09, the file inside it is 10/4/2009. ie; the correct one. Not the one that ended up in my c:\program files\devnz\gbpvr folder though.

The old file was installed on my server at 21:16 on the 27/5/2009, the zip file in the mvpmc folder was created at 21:17 on the 27/5/2009. Thats about the time I ran the install.

When GBPVR is not busy run NMTInstall again, untick everything and then just tick update GBPVR, it should only upgrade it without downloading. Check the NMTInstall for error and and the date of the file and let me know the results.

Did that, There were no errors and the file in in my gbpvr folder was correctly updated. I've run it through half a dozen times with GBPVR in various states and it copied perfectly every time.

Maybe you could recap were you are now, I'm a bit confused about the setup.

I now have a Vista SP2 server with all of the latest and greatest installed and working.
I got here by installing a clean Vista, upgrading to SP2, then running nmtinstall with all boxes ticked. I then added my tuners, cyberlink mux, scanned channels, configured my NMT's and tested. All seemed to be OK except for a restarting issue in live TV. I wasn't having that problem on my old server, so started looking for differences and found the old gbpvrrecordingservice file. Replaced that with the current one and then everything was fine.

As far as I can tell, that was only file that wasn't the latest after nmtinstall completed.

Thought I should bring it up on here in case anyone else has a problem with live tv restarting.

Ok, thanks for the tip. A zero to GPBVR upgrade is pretty intense and little things can disrupt it. I'll also look to see if I wait long enough when I stop the recording service after GBPVR is installed. I might not be factoring in virus scan delays etc.
