Well Win 7 is a no go again. Can't find any channels with any driver version and the original config xml or with the changes wurlston gave me which worked for XP.
This is a bare Win 7 X64 install, I don't know what else could be using it. I do have media center but I didn't finish setting the card up in it and I had to restart from xp to win 7 to generate the logs so I wouldn't think that would be a problem.
More information, I reformatted my Win 7 partition and reinstalled and was able to scan with 1 card but got nothing with the other, it acted like before. Both cards still work fine in my XP partition so I'm a little lost what to try next.
Wondering if the problem I'm having is related to the fact that 1 of my 1600's is old and was 1 of the first to support qam tunning. The second 1600 is only a year old and much more recent revision.

I'm posting, because I'd like to know how the drivers/Windows talk to two identical cards in different slots. Does it differentiate based on the slot or do they have differences in an internal ID? I'm sure someone here knows.
Would swapping them slot-for-slot cause Windows and the driver to try to talk to the swapped card and let you determine if they are responding differently to the same driver and setup? Or, would Windows and the driver know they were swapped and still talk to the original card?

I have one of the old 1600's also, and it stopped finding any channels (ATSC or QAM) a while ago. My new 2250 finds them fine. I wrote it off as a bad tuner.
What, me worry?

Both cards still work fine in my XP partition I just haven't been able to get them to work right in my Win 7 partition. I don't think swapping slots would make a difference in this case.
Roy the only drivers I've ever been able to get to work with qam are the 3.4d1 cd. If I use any other drivers my card never could find anything when I scan.
I used the registry hack in Win7 to get qam working in media center and it can only find channels with the 1 card also so it's something to do with the way they work in Win 7. I just can't figure out what to try next.
