Yes your'e right the proof is in the picture and smooth video play.

However I am in a similar position to ENGNZ 1st post, exactly as he describes.
I get stutters on C4 and Prime live and recorded (mediaworks and kordia MUX's), but the exact same recordings play perfectly using the Cyberlink demux from PDVD7 or PDVD9.
I too initially thought it was a signal problem but I found out I have zero errors in all my MPEG2 Transport streams for all the MUX's for extended test periods.
Both Power cinema (I really hate it) and Windows 7 Media center have no problems displaying smooth video for digital C4 and Prime on the same hardware and antenna port.

It's similar to an earlier threads like http://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php?t=41833&page=3

I suspect something in the TS encoding on those channels is tripping up GBpvr's TS reader but not Cyberlink's or MS W7 TS demuxs.
It not something that bothers me that much, as analog is fine and digital recording are perfect in WMP with PDVD9's demux

PS I have found previously that over-amping the signal can cause the S/N to degrade if the tuners front end is overpowered, which you can see easily in the increased error rates and also on the analog channels, but it's less immediately obvious on the the digital ones.

Really do love the DSE return policy, it makes for a cheap first step test to rule out the signal as a problem Wink

engnz Wrote:What did you have to do to "amp" your signal strength?

Remember if you are going to use an amplifier, it's better to use one close to the input end of your aerial cable rather than close to the output end - close to the aerial rather than close to the PC / TV. An amplifier close to the TV boosts both the signal AND the noise that it has picked-up over the whole length of the aerial cable.

There's some useful information on using amplifiers on this site: TV Splitters, Amplifiers and Diplexers. It's a British website, but the principles of UHF aerials and amplifiers are universal.
