Hi,
I'm running Windows 7 Ultimate (32bit) and GBPVR 1.4.7. I am in New Zealand and am having problems with playback of DVB-T programs and other H264 encoded programs.
I use the Microsoft Codec as it is free and seems good quality. However my problem is that while playing in GBPVR the CPU averages around 40% (Dual core Athon 2x). When I playback the same video using VLC, Media Player or Media Center the CPU is under 10%, much smoother and has less distortion.
I've heard people try to use FDDSHOW but I ran into problems getting any picture at all. I'd rather use the MS one if possible. I'm guessing it is not using hardware assisted processing (I'm using a Radeon 4670).
Does anyone have any suggestions?
Thanks
