I cleaned out the installation of Powervcr and retried a version 5 dll. Looks like there might have been some conflict. It's still broken, but now I get to the scan page with the version 5 mpgmux.ax and get the following config log.
Incidently in this case I am presented with an error about not being able to talk to my hardware (unable to start BDA device). This is new behaviour, and only happens if I press ignore on the assert failure.
No I haven't tried other software yet. It's a clean install.
The video device announces itself as the following:
PCI\VEN_109E&DEV_036E&SUBSYS_00011822&REV_11\3&267A616A&0&A0
Windows is using the HCL certified Twinhan driver dated 26 Feb 2004 version 2.4.1.0 and reports no problems.
