no sadly I have restarted PC looked in the HE-AAC and it's set to disabled with no other options

You'll need to get one of those decoders on there to get audio.

I'm sure you're just doing something wrong with the Monogram decoder. Its very self-contained, and very little that can go wrong. I'm guessing you're not correctly starting it as administrator, or not specifying the correct path to the .ax file when you're running regsvr32

No - that wont help you get the decoder installed on the machine. Your problem is outside of NPVR.

Rebuild and up popped the admin prompt in accessories
In with monogram and all is well!
Yet to robustly test
Does NPVR have a standby or hibernate mode?

What do you mean? If you put Windows into standby or hibernate, it'll wake the machine for any scheduled recordings.

When i used GBPVR i used the standby-Hibernate mode to park the system
Then it started itself and shut down itself.
Is there such a feature in NPVR

To be honest, I still dont know what you're talking about.

Do you mean the 'Standby' and 'Hibernate' buttons in the System screen in GBPVR? All these did was ask Windows to Standby/Hibernate. They didnt do anything more than this.
