I have seen the message "Async stop taking way too long" mentioned elsewhere with hints that it is a bad thing.
My reception is dodgy and variable especially on one specific mux. I recorded a channel on this dodgy mux. The playback showed a good recording at first but eventually the playback showed only a black screen.
I went to NPVR Settings and clicked Status and NPVR froze.
The nrecord log showed
011-10-08 15:32:00.171 [INFO][7] No more streams active. Stopping device.
2011-10-08 15:32:00.171 [DEBUG][7] About to request async graph stop
2011-10-08 15:32:00.171 [DEBUG][14] About to stop network provider
2011-10-08 15:32:08.171 [DEBUG][7] Async stop taking way too long
2011-10-08 15:32:08.171 [DEBUG][7] Removing filter MPEG-2 Sections and Tables
I have done this or something similar several times in recent days. I should be able to reproduce the problem.
For me, when a recording ends on a mux with dodgy reception and if the recording had stopped capturing video properly then I will see "Async stop taking way too long" and it's all downhill from there.
Thanks
Graham
