What does graph edit show when you play it through there?

With all your playing about, and before re-installing NextPVR have you tried just re-registering your filters?

cheers

Would this be the AMD-provided filter for the onboard HDMI output? How would I go about locating the name of this, I have no idea which filter is used.

I found a movie file that does not play sound through the TV using WMP, so now it is clear that there is an issue outside NPVR also.

I have tried Graphedit but might need some pointers. Attached is Graph1.grf for 2 AVI files:

Four Weddings and a Funeral:
Plays with sound using Graphedit
Plays with sound using WMP
No sound using NPVR

Death at a Funeral:
Plays with sound using Graphedit
No sound using WMP
No sound using NPVR

What does this tell me and where do I go from here?

if you bring up menu (right click mouse)
what audio streams do you have
also change decoder from that microsoft crap (others will disagree but they just cause issue i have diasabled all mine on one machine that would play nice on all files )

can you do a screen dump of graph edit (i dont have what you are using on my machine so it wont load up)

settings in next pvr dont affect avi files so you need to set the default filters up right to get files not recorded by npvr correct before it will play them
just because wmp will play them nextpvr may not. Some filters may not be available to use or just cause conflict.
hence the reason i want to see the graph.

I have uploaded the graph image, audio streams (from GSpot) and also showing what decoder options are available in NPVR.

audio renderer should be default ,normally anyway
but i reckon the ac3 filter settings are wrong
i had similar issue and i know it was either sample rate or the encode

can you upload a bit of the file be easier just to have a fiddle here
upload to mega or similar

those decoders you posted above only apply to ts files recorded by next pvr

Sorry to be a noob, but I'm not sure how to upload only a bit of the file. Is there some tool to chop part of a video file without changing the contents?
