That's all fine and dandy, but if a person freshly installs, and doesn't have any channels that they can import from a prior setup(V4) you can't access it to set it up.

Your problems setting up channels is a different issue. I was just saying that is is normal for the tray app to only lists devices that have channel setup.

Yes, QAM is available. With the .db3 imported from v4 the Tray app can see the device

Web App still has NO joy.

As you can see even the Web app can't see anything under Available storage and what ever else is suppose to be there.

I'll just revert back to v4 and forget about it. I just think using the Web as your primary device setup is trouble sum. w/e floats your boats.

BTW, you couldn't pay me to install Win10. Not since they went full blown spyware. Since you say Win7 is now un-supported you might want to make this known on your front DL pages. Good luck.

The web app is not supposed the primary device, I use it primarily for configuration that is just your interpretations. Until you scan scan clear QAM it doesn't matter what client you use. The scan is only initiated by the web app it is still done by similar dll's that were used in previous versions of NextPVR.

I didn't say that Win7 wasn't supported I wrote Win7 is not supported by Microsoft and wasn't tested by NextPVR testers. What is not supported is V4 for the most part so you really should have a go at getting v5 working.

Sub never said that copying a v4 database for clear QAM tuning would work. Better to try the painful scan.

Oh - Internet Explorer. I suspect that's your problem. Have you got a more modern web browser available, like Chrome, or Firefox? I suspect that'll fix the issue.

If you take the time when you install, you can turn off most of the Windows 10 stuff you believe is "Spyware". I've been using Windows 10 since its Beta days and would NOT go back to Windows 7. Windows 10 is generally far more stable and better performing than Windows 7 plus Internet Explorer is slowly being deprecated in favour of Edge. Staying with Windows 7 and IE will definitely make future support more problematic.
