So I have spent all day trying to make this work and I am hoping that someone can help me.  I have an HDPVR2 with an ir blaster attached and I can change channels with it however I need to be able to turn the power on and off to the device as well, the the BlasterCfg there is a thing that says you can learn the power button, however no matter what I do it does not work. I suspect I could get it to work with WinLIRC because I have the remote codes but I can't get WinLIRC to work because it wants some file called irremote.dll which I can't find anywhere on Hauppauge site.

Any help would be greatly appreciated, newguy2022

NextPVR own built in blaster support doesn't do anything with power on/off a set to box, since it has no way to track the state of this (and on most set top boxes, it's a power toggle button...and you don't want to be turning the box off when starting a recording). NextPVR just assumes the set top box is on, and sends the numbers.

You can have NextPVR call a batch file of your choosing though, then manage this stuff yourself in the batch file.

It's probably in the same directory as BlastCfg. (or already installed somewhere by Hauppauge)

No unfortunately it is not anywhere on my system, I did a search of the entire system and that file is not on there.

C:\Program Files (x86)\WinTV\ but there are only 3 files in there and irremote.dll is not one of them.

Also can someone explain or point me to how you run a bat file when a channel is tuned?

Thanks, newguy2022

Is that BlastCfg.exe of just Blast.exe? You might need to install WinTV8 not WinTV85

Have you set up Schedules Direct or an XMLTV EPG source? If you follow the wiki https://github.com/sub3/NextPVR/wiki/setup-set-top-box that would be the first step.

Then you need to decide if the batch file uses the full channel or digits also as shown on the wiki. Your batch file needs to iuse those parameter for blasting.

I was pretty sure it was called BlastCfg.exe, but I might be wrong.

Might only install with certain devices present. ie, blaster capable devices.
