@PaulMc I am wondering if you might be seeing the issue of major dropped packets I noted here https://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.ph...#pid588733  Perhaps send your zipped logs next time you watch Live TV for a period of time and notice the noise and we can check.

Thanks Martin

Anything in particular? Should I just open up a channel to view and log the output? HD or SD? Any desirable duration? I'm assuming that "Continuity Errors" as I mentioned in an earlier post as the same as dropped packets?

I suggest letting Live TV play for 1/2 an hour, HD is bigger so more packets to lose, and then send the zipped logs.

OK, thanks Martin. It has been a mad few days and I haven't had chance to do this. I will try and get to it this week.

Hi there, my sincere apologies for the silence. We had a storm here and the main house antenna needed to be replaced, sadly the company we asked to do the work decided to cut the CAT6 cable that runs on the outside of the house, during the new antenna install, and not tell us about it. I discovered it after they had left. This cable provided our home network and Internet. I had to find another company that could fix things. There are not that many with good reviews in this neck of the woods. Which all means I've been unable to do anything with the sat box until now. Even with new cables and setup the signal level/quality and SNR is still lower than I would like. I'm now of the opinion that this SatIP box is not great because my old Humax box on the same cables shows 100% quality on both feeds. Unfortunately the Humax is not a SatIP server. I think I'm fighting an unwinnable battle, so I'm going to park this for now until I can source an alternative SatIP box. The box is still wired up so if you need any more testing done with it I'm more than happy to do that. Thanks for all your help with this and I will jump back on here once I am up and running with a new box.
