Am generally totally delighted with GB-PVR -- most of the time, it works like a dream.. I do have a problem with web-scheduling, however. I've looked through the forums, but can't find an answer to my specific problem.
I can access all the web-scheduling functions perfectly through my home network and the internet. (The only shortcoming I have with it, is that in the event of a program clash, it doesn't allow you to cancel a pre-booked slot, but just refuses to record the new request (no error message or notification - something to be improved in the next version there...).)
My major problem is that, when I click on a recording listed as "Available", it does not stream. But I can open the same recording by navigating to the folder on the PVR machine, so it's not a network problem. I have the impression that, whichever media player I use (WMP, R/Player, W/Amp and others), they are trying to download the whole file, rather than buffer and play. Eventually, after many minutes of "Connecting...", they time-out and crash.
I've gone through every possibility I can think of. If anyone has any bright ideas, I'd be really grateful for them!! If anymore info is needed on my set-up, will happily provide!!
Steve
