Yeah true, but we didn't have them here in New Zealand and I wanted one.

Dont worry - I had plenty of other fun in Amsterdam.

"plenty of other fun in Amsterdam..." hmmm....

PS I'm American and I want to say that I do know where New Zealand is: Just a bit west of New Mexico!
If you want to know why nPVR is the bomb, ask my wife!

Smile just most software developers dont seem to know about the existance of the outside world, Sage, Beyond, MCE all a nightmare to setup if your not in the US, xmltv should come standard for those applications, especially since you have to pay for them.

well for MCE i would expect them to supply the guide data, which they dont...

Most americans can not identify the two countries that border them. I saw that on Jay Walking on Jay Leno. I was quite disturbed so I did my own test. The results were pretty bad.

So I would have to agree with reven. It only becomes important when we anex or go to war with them. So soon amercians will learn every country on the map. Smile

I take offense to that. And I know, and agree that it is REAL bad with some people. You have to take into consideration, who the polled audience is, and you have no way of telling how many people they weeded those responses from. And you can't compare it to Europe, most of our states are the size of other countries. Ask the typical american, what states their state borders.

I would say "A lot of americans..." definately not most.

As for GBPVR and tech stuff in general, I would agree that a lot of americans do not consider other locations, just what affects themselves. I remember the odd problem we had because of using files created in a different time zone. The time on the file didn't exist yet, so it wouldn't execute.

This would beg to differ http://www.compfused.com/directlink/940/ obviously the US citizen knows of other countries, well they need to know where to invade Wink
I'm sure if they did the same survey in any other country they would get the same dumb answers.
