Hi,

1) I'm having an odd problem with the FM Radio plugin: Rather than being able to choose from multiple stations, only the very first station that I've programmed in is displayed.

Only this station is displayed, so this is the only station that I can play or delete. If I delete this station, then only the 2nd station that I've added is displayed. and if I delete this station, then only the 3rd station that I added is display, etc, etc.

I'm using version 0.94.13 of GB-PVR, and (not that it should matter), a WinTV PVR USB2.

Any solutions? Is there a more recent version of the FM radio plugin that I can download?

2) Also, is there a way to change the volume of the FM Radio? The keyboard reference (http://gbpvr.com/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Quick...dReference) doesn't list any.

Thanks!,

Mitz

Update:

I fixed the first problem by renaming my stations. Instead of "UNKNOWN", each station now has the proper name, and they're all displayed.

Anyone know how to change the audio volume while listening to FM?

Cheers.

Have you tried the volume keys on your remote?

If you have the 34 button remote which doesnt have separate volume keys, try pressing left/right on the main menu.

Hi Sub,

My WinTV PVR USB2 came w/ a 45-button remote. I tried the volume, channel, and left/right/up/down keys with both direct access to the remote as well as IR.exe, with no luck.

Is there a keyboard shortcut for changing the volume with FM? For the other plugins such as LiveTV, Music Player, Video, etc, the +/- keys seem to do the trick.

I figure if there's a keyboard shortcut for FM volume, I'll just edit irremote.ini to get it mapped to my remote.

Thanks

Yeah, it should just be +/-

+/- works for me in every other plugin except for FM.

I'm going to try some more to get this working, but do you have any suggestions on what could be wrong? Could it be something to do with the encoder (lame.ax)? Or does it seem more like an audio decoder issue (what decoder does the FM plugin use, anyway)?

If you have the lame.ax installed, and set the following in the config.xml, then I suspect the volume would work:

<ForceFMBufferingMode>true</ForceFMBufferingMode>

Hey Sub,

Yes it works now, thanks! One thing that I noticed is that it's writing an mp3 file into my recordings folder (FM radio recording, cool!). Is there any setting I can change to limit the size of the recording, or have it delete the recording automatically when I stop the radio, tho? I just don't want my hdd filling up when I accidentally leave the radio on.

Cheers.

Nope, there is nothing to limit this. You'll just have be careful.

Sub

I am using the WinTV PVR USB2 for FM radio with the latest version of gbpvr. I am using the lame.ax codec. I made the modification as you noted above to the config.xml but still no volume control for FM radio. Any new developments?
