I have searched through the forums but have not come across anyone else with the same problem. If I can supply any more information than below, please request.
To create: I am using GBPVR v0.94.13. If I run GBPVR.exe with the -onlyupdateepg option or if I select Update EPG from the GBPVRtray.exe context menu, a small window titled "Information" appears with the text "Updating EPG - please wait".
The problem: The message never moves onto the next phase. If you move the mouse over the window, it is an hourglass. The window cannot be closed using the close button, Alt+F4 or the context menu on the task bar. To close it, I need to end task it from task manager.
My actions: This has happened on the last few versions of GBPVR for me (sorry, I dont remembered when I first noticed it but it happened before v0.94.13). With this latest version being the version for a while, I decided to empty my EPG, delete my recording sources, uninstall GBPVR and delete the devnz folder. I reinstalled (v0.94.13), re-added sources, setup my EPG (bleb) and it didn't make any difference. (It did get rid of a residual crashing skin issue though and the occasional appearance of an "object reference..." error, which was cool!)
Notes: The automatic EPG updating works fine, as does the Update EPG button the Config.exe utility.
The following is the gbpvr.exe.log file taken after running gbpvr.exe with the -onlyupdateepg command line parameter:
