Please find attached new log. I left item running for over twenty minutes, still had to end-task it. Thanks.

As far as I can tell, this looks ok. Bleb is really slow, given a separate file needs to be requested from the internet for each day, for each channel. This means there is a something like 450 files that need to be retrieved. To compound the problem, the owner of bleb had us force a set delay between retrieving each file, which really makes it take a long time. This process takes about 18 minutes....then on top of that, it needs to do the whole process again for each additional capture source in the system. I can see you have multiple, so it can take a while.

If I were you, I'd use the Radio Times XMLTV instead.

The explanation sounds fine except that the config utility updates fine and it only takes around two minutes to do my five channels and 7 days.

It used to work several versions ago (v0.92.xx I think) just like the config utility. It used to take a couple of minutes. I have only subscribed to 5 channels and Bleb only supplies information for today and the next six days.

The window also never changes message from "Updating EPG". Perhaps showing what it is actually doing (like the config update, "retrieving day 0 for ITV" etc) would allay the fear that something serious has gone wrong as indicated by the failure of the taskbar context menu for the window, the cursor changing to an hourglass and the close button not working.

Again, thanks for response and keep up the good work sir.

It should be the same this. If you want to know why there is a difference, do the update from the config app, then post your config.exe.log and I'll provide a description of any differences I see.

Yes, thats normal when you update this way. If you need to see status, you'll need to update from the config app.

Its pretty easy to see it happening in the logs, and everything looks ok to me.

Sub I get the same issue and I use the radio times grabber so it's not just a bleb issue. I used the proper xmltv grabber and alan birtles grabber and both have the issue. I'm not near my pvr at the moment but I can post the logs for this went I get back home if it helps.

What same issue do you get? From what I can tell, Mister Slim's is actually working fine, its just taking longer that he expected.

Please describe your problem?

Yep I was not giving it another time to update using the updateonlyEPG switch, previous releases it would take 10 secs to update it now takes more than 3 minutes. I beleived the actual program had locked, when infact it hadn't.

Okey dokey. Here is the config.exe.log, the update took well under 2 minutes.

The difference is here it is only doing five channels, with all the rest disabled.

The other update is doing about 60 channels.

Just ran update EPG again from GBPVR command line and it took about five minutes. I now shall not breath on the GBPVR installation.

I still can't move the window but now that I know that it is working even though the visuals indicate that it has crashed I can leave it running for the longer period of time.

If you haven't already implemented it and if I can be so cheeky, and if I am not talking out of the top of my head, may I suggest an Application.DoEvents() call inside your loop.

Thanks for all your help and patience. Once more, a remarkable project, sir, well done!
