Quote:Could you now, for instance, use the Time and Date Table to synchronize the PC's clock with the broadcast?

And, most usefully, the Running Status Table which is well-used to provide up-to-date information about programmes (e.g. if they are over-running etc). It even provides a "starts in a few seconds" signal. Isn't this information ideal for PVR purposes? The "few seconds" giving enough time to start the recording process.
Yes, I now have access to this information. I wont start using for anything immediately, but will sometime in the future. The software started out as a analog TV program, then I tacked on a few DVB extensions. Retrofitting some of this stuff is hard. GB-PVR already has ways it deals with most of this stuff, and that stuff needs to keep working for the analog folk. If it had been designed from the onset as soley a DVB application, things would have been much easier.

Quote:Would also be great to see programme genre information gathered along with the DVB-EPG, and a method for plugins to access this info.
Aslong as you've using the PSI Parser enabled, it already does collect Genre information, and it is usable by plugins today.

Sure. What you've described is much how I imagined it to be, with regards to DVB being tacked in around the existing analogue framework. An ambition of mine is design some DVB-centric PVR software from the ground up that uses all these features... some day I will have the time I'm sure!

Fantastic - I really must get my ass in gear and use some of my spare time over xmas to write some of the plugins I've been meaning to for so long.

I am also getting this same problem with a Pinnacle 300i and 95.16 except that if I set the BDAUsePsiParser tag to false it crashes when I come to scan! Is there any news on a fix for this yet?

reproduce the problem, then zip and attach your config.exe.log and config.exe-native.log and I'll take a look to see if I can see anything obvious.

You're only the first person to report this, so no. The other posts in this thread were saying they could find any channels when scanning with the PsiParser enabled, so they had to switch it off to find them. You're saying its crashing for you with the PsiParser disabled. Something all together different.

The fact that mine crashes may only be because i'm using a later version as i'm sure you've made changes to this between 14 and 16.

The fix I was referring to was with having to disable the BDAUsePsiParser tag in the first place as the channels on mine come up as unknown the same as the other reports in this thread. I'll get some logs off to you a little later tonight.
