When I first statup a configuration session I see one default cature source already entered "Device1-Tuner". I cannot seem to delete this capture source. When I try to delete and exit out of the configuration session the program hangs while trying to restart the recording service. Should I be able to delete this capture source? Why is it there to begin with?

Yes, you should be able to.

Can you try to delete it, then zip and attach your config.exe.log?

Sorry, I cant see anything in the logs. I'm not sure why you've got this capture source.

Do you mean the log file is empty or you can't see anything wrong with the log records that are being written?

This source was present when I installed. I assumed it was added as a part of the defaults. When I delete the source and save out of the configuration session the server never gets restarted and the configuration GUI never goes away and the settings dont get saved.

Is there anything else I can try? Should it matter if I installed in a non-standard directory? I currently have gbpvr installed in e:/gbpvr

I was hoping to see an error message indicating why it couldnt delete it. There was no such error.

I also dont know how you got this capture source in the first place.

You could manually try running jetcomp on the gbpvr.mdb file. Some people have had a problem with hanging when they click ok, because somehow the database has become corrupt. Running jetcomp manually gave them an error message that indicated the problem.

Thanks for the support sub.

I tried to compact the databse with the jetcomp tool and I got an error. I opened up MSAccess anddid a repair and compact on the database and it was successful. But to no avail.....I STILL can't delete this original source. Would have there been something on my system that would have caused the gbpvr install to add it during the install? Is there another way to get rid of the source by either editing the config file manulally of by changing the database?

Thanks

No, it shouldnt have been part of the default install (or created automatically).

If you dont care about the current contents of your database, you could try deleting the gbpvr.mdb and hopefully it'll recreate an empty.

I had exactly the same thing happen to me when I tried the initial install too. In the end I installed an earlier version 94.13 and then simply upgraded to get around this occuring.
